S-based halal fast casual restaurant franchise The Halal Guys has expanded its menu with the addition of its Spiced Sizzlin’ Chicken and caramelised onion hummus.
The restaurant brand explained that the new Spiced Sizzlin’ Chicken is prepared with a Za’atar spice blend, which is a combination of dried green herbs with toasted sesame seeds, dried sumac and other savoury spices.
The caramelised onion hummus is made with a blend of 100% Greek chickpeas and sauteed onions.
Guests can try it with a side of warm pita or atop their sandwich or platter.
The Halal Guys purchasing and distribution vice-president Shawn Edelman said: “We’re excited to introduce the new Spiced Sizzlin’ Chicken as a new flavour profile for guests looking to change up their protein and bring some fall flavours to their favourite order.

“Combined with the new Caramelised Onion Hummus, both dishes are a great twist on our traditional Halal proteins.”
The two new menu items will only be available until February next year.
The restaurant brand added that guests can enjoy the new Za’atar spiced chicken with the new caramelised onion hummus across all its locations in the US.
Customers can also order the Spiced Sizzlin’ Chicken dish as a platter or as a sandwich.
As a platter, the dish comprises spiced chicken served over rice, lettuce, tomatoes, choice of additional toppings and garnished with the brand’s white and hot sauces.
As a sandwich, the dish consists of warm pita bread filled with spiced chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, a choice of additional toppings and a garnish of white and hot sauces.
